I have now used this 2x's and am very happy. I have a small yard/area that I need to use this to weedeat around the fence and trim the short side walk I have. I can definitely hear the difference in RPM's/power between a corded trimmer and this one. Even with my small yard I had to replace the battery. I would imagine if you use your weedeater for more than 30-40 mins or you want to use it for heavy use (thick/tall grass) you might not like this or it might not do what you want it to do. B&D manual says "use for 1/3 acre".
the only issue I have had is the auto feeder. Trying to edge and it was missing an inch (+/-) of string hampered my efforts so I ended up manually extending. I did not find anything in the manual helpful in this regards.
If you are buying a factory reconditioned "BE CAREFULY" because some only come with 1 Battery - read the fine print. If you can't find a reconditioned with 2 batteries then buy a new one since they come with 2. Most likely you will want both and to buy a 2nd you will spend $35-$50. Not worth the $20 you will save on a reconditioned.
